Actions for GLONASS Reception in AIS
Dear All,
Please be informed that FURUNO released a new functionality to convert AIS FA-170, into AIS with an internal GPS/GLONASS capability.
This will provide augmentation to enhance precision by utilizing SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System).
Actions required:
1. Update the software to the following versions.
FA-1701 0550255-02.01 or latter
FA-1702 0550256-02.01 or latter
2. Replace existing GPS antenna, with either of the following:
GPA–022S or GVA-170
